This review is for the mini golf only as we didn't stay at the hotel. Very easy to find location with friendly staff. We found this to be one of the most fun and challenging mini golf courses we've done. It was nice to see it's been well maintained too. There's even a golf ball elevator on one hole. I recommend trying it out when you're in the area.
Elizabeth Lake Lodge is an absolute gem. It's on the edge of town, but steps away from a lovely bird sanctuary you can walk through. The hotel does the standard things very well--the beds are super comfy, the pillows are some of the best I've ever used, the rooms are well-appointed and so clean (I rarely give my children baths in hotels, but don't fear the tubs at ELL!). It's the little details where ELL rises above: specialty soap, quality dishware, in-room orchid, ear plugs for those who may be sensitive to the train nearby, and heated floors in the bathroom. I was also impressed that they set up the playpen for us with a sheet and a lovely quilt on top. The majority of hotels would just throw a pack and play in the room without sheets and you'd have to set it up yourself. The service is beyond expectations. They are so friendly and accommodating. Play a round of mini golf too. It's a challenging course, but so much fun. I could go on forever how wonderful Elizabeth Lake Lodge is, but you should just go and experience it yourself. We will always come back!
We were visiting family in town so it was me, my husband and our two kids (17 & 19). We had plenty of room in their room with the king and two twins (3 night stay). George and Rachel are super helpful. Rooms are very clean and the grounds are fun for the entire family. Great outdoor BBQ & sitting area. We highly recommend this hotel! We'll be back!
Stayed for 5 days, excellent amenities, super clean and well stocked. Friendly staff always ready to help make your stay perfect. Great location, quiet and lovely views of the bird sanctuary. We will be back! Especially enjoyed the big comfortable chairs outside your suite..sitting on the balcony was a treat when family stopped in.
I stayed here at the end of May and enjoyed the stay immensely. Heated bathroom floors were appreciated and the beds were pleasantly firm but not hard and there were a choice of pillow types. It was nice to sit outside and drink coffee in the morning and listen to the birds. There is a kitchenette for making quick and easy meals and a barbecue area if you need that. I don’t have a problem washing dishes. The location was great as we could cycle right from the lodge to many different trails.I didn’t hear any trains or traffic just happy birds. The mini golf and shaved ice stand was a great bonus. We would definitely stay here again and probably will. The owners and staff are fantastic and accommodating.
