Amazing skiing, food, and service! The staff are incredible, and will help with everything. This lodge has some of the best to offer. Amazing stay.
Wow what a unforgettable experience. From the moment nurse ali tickled our noses to when Zoe filled them with the smell of her delicious cooking we were in heaven. Can’t wait to go back.
Beautiful Lodge with Wonderful Staff, Food, and Scenery
Everything about Talus Lodge exceeded our expectations! It's accessible by an easy helicopter flight with experienced backcountry pilots and amazing views.
Completely guided hikes take all the stress out of maximizing your time and seeing the best views around the lodge. They completely tailor the hikes to the group and they offer for part of the group to head back early with one of the two guides during the longer days.
The staff was incredible. Chef Chris did an outstanding job preparing all our meals, and his baking skills did not disappoint from homemade bread to donuts to cakes. Pete and Mark were wonderful guides for our hikes each day and we enjoyed having them join us for meals. Their ability to adapt to the weather and the group to make each day enjoyable helped make the experience so memorable.
The hot showers work surprisingly well and shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided. There is also a wonderful sauna for the chillier days. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are cozy.
We really enjoyed getting to know the other guests. The group hikes, meals, and time in the common areas built a strong sense of comradery in a remarkably short time. We met people from as far away as Germany and as close as Canmore.
This was a wonderful experience to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and "unplug" for a little bit.
This is a fantastic place to come in the winter! This was our second trip here, and it has world class scenery and touring. We were self-guided last winter and thought we'd had a good look around then. They've moved to a guided format, and we were a little surprised at how much new terrain we covered this trip. The food is very tasty home cooking style, with all you can eat breakfast, lunches, and dinners to fuel those ski and hiking days. The skiing was a mix of turns in untracked powder, both open and trees, and classic high alpine touring. The groups split off after a common start to accommodate the different paces we wanted to have, and that worked well.
It is a very amazing place to stay at. It is very beautiful
