This is a small business where it's obvious the owner is there and truly cares about the operation and your success. I have found in my other experiences with a lager company it is less friendly and the aircraft are normally from the mid 1970's. The instructor I had was calm and relaxed which allowed me to feel comfortable so I could focus. The aircrafts are relatively new (2002) for this industry and the rates are great. I hate to be honest about what a great place this is as it's like that great fishing spot you don't want anyone else to find out about, but that would not be fair.

Aquila Aviation in Abbotsford, BC is one-of-a-kind activity you can do to enjoy the experience being in a small plane and observing the nature in a different way. The owner is a very nice gentleman. The location was easy to find and the young pilot is super talented. Did I mention SAFETY check, Pre-flight walkaround, Ground briefing, and the opportunity to handle the aircraft!! What? Yes, I helped to take off the airplane. Check it out guys!

I am a student pilot in the US and was in Abbotsford for work. Since I was staying near the airport I thought why not see if I could get a flight before I left. Reza, owner of Aquila Aviation made it happen. We took his Cessna 172S to the sky. Reza was relaxed and gave calm instruction when needed. We did a scenic tour around the beautiful scenery. It was breathtaking. I had a blast. Whether you are looking for a scenic flight or student pilot training Aquila Aviation is the place to go. Finding a confident, knowledgeable CFI who is excited about aviation who isn’t going to leave you for the airliners is not easy to find and that is what Reza offers at Aquila Aviation.
