Having multiple dogs of multiple breeds in multiple stages of life equals multiple behaviour issues. Over the past 20 years Tamara has been successfully training myself and all six of my “special needs” dogs. These dogs were unwanted, disabled or could not be placed in homes due to poor behavioural issues. Tamara’s “positive training with positive reinforcement”, approach and constant support has led to successful and desired behaviour from all of my dogs. Her enthusiasm and passion for dogs is beyond any other trainer. Tamara has an open mind and a deep care for you and your dogs with valuable training results. She is focused, confident and has elite knowledge on dog developmental subject matter.
Here are a few things we have worked on over the years; recall, pulling on leash, jumping in other vehicles, separation anxiety, crate training, barking at the door, resource guarding, active escape behaviour, unwanted jumping, dog aggression, mouthing, destructive chewing, fear of noises, puppy house training, how and when to reward good behaviour, knowing that my dog may be ill, bored or wants to play, how to feed multiple dogs safely, avoiding off-leash dog parks, hyperactivity and extremely stubborn dog.
Recently, I have become partially disabled and Tamara has taught me how to use pot placement for mental stimulation and hind end awareness to work on with my dogs. Also, adding scent detection into our training has added some new excitement for my dogs Now, I am more confident having a better understanding of my dogs and how to change the behaviour, retrain bad behaviour and prevent bad behaviour. Tamara’s focus and expert alternative teaching methods will prepare you as a successful dog owner.
