(June 30, 2018, 2:38 am)The trail and surroundings are very natural but well taken care of. In mid-summer, you'll notice a large number of berry bushes by the trails; salmon berries in late June and blackberries in July. The branching trails (such as Kingfisher) make many secluded walkways through the trees and shrubs. There is a lot of path along the dyke by the river also. There is really a surprising abundance of plants, which support the many birds and other animals in the area, such as squirrels, rabbits, and garter snakes. There are many benches, info signs, and lookouts to make this an interesting day outing.
