The Ward Tea House

A lovely, rustic tea house in the heart of a former gold rush town, Yale. Delicious food and tea, perfect for lunch or a snack. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Seating is available both inside and outside in the yard, where you get a fantastic view of the mountains. It's one of my go-to spots whenever I pass through. I highly recommend trying it yourself!

Beautiful, quiet environment with excellent coffee and homemade cinnamon buns!

I went in expecting loose leaf tea, atmosphere and charm.
The tea was your typical stash tea bags, limited selection and something you can make yourself at home. The food was all fresh, and the baked goods done in house daily.
I sat outside on your typical Canadian tire patio set. Not really authentic. Inside is more so- but eerily quiet and had a bit of a old sponge smell.

The ladies serving me were nice and welcoming.

It's not....a fantastic experience. But it's a tea house in a sleepy little side town next to a quiet museum. So for what it is, it's very quaint.
