I recently had Art of the Party handle the decorations for my wedding in late august. I paid my invoice in full before the wedding. Unfortunately, a few days after my wedding I was emailed by Marianne, one of the staff, informing me that a mistake was made (by Art of the Party staff) in calculating the PST on my invoice and she went ahead and charged my credit card the difference. This was highly unprofessional and illegal as I did not authorize the charge for the difference and it was not my mistake. I should have been asked and informed of the charge before it was processed. Rose, another staff member, was professional from the onset and apologized on her colleagues behalf for this extremely alarming act. The decorations themselves were beautiful and I would recommend using the Art of the Party but make sure to walk in and pay with cash . Do not give your card number over the phone.
