Custom Seating for Wheelchairs and scooters and related medical equipment it's an exacting process which for the most part cannot be automated or mass-produced. These people are creative hands on artisans in the true sense of the word. The business was originally started by the owners father who saw a need for a Custom Seating options when the hospital he work for a closed down in the early 80s. The interior of the building it's not much to look at and that speaks to the fact that all the resources go the creation of the products. It literally is a workspace for them to build the various seats. The consultation process is usually in three phases is an occupational therapist and the person requiring the seat in addition to the Craftsman. First session is usually pulmonary measurements with a rudimentary seat followed by at least two other visits to achieve the final product . After which a period of further adjustment can be arranged. I was very impressed. And I have had several scooters and wheelchairs in my lifetime thus far.
