Extremely tasty and very affordable! For me, this place has replaced Alvin Garden as tops for spicy eats in Burnaby. The boiled fish in spicy tofu soup is amazing, along with the majority of the spicy items on the menu (stir fried pork slices with pepper, Hu's special grilled fish, diced chicken with peanut and garlic sauce, and Hu's special cold noodle are all delicious).

Their non spicy menu is also extremely tasty and very kid friendly. Braised pork meat balls, basa fish with pine nuts and sauteed prawns were all tasty and well seasoned (a bit on the sweeter side, and it's perfect for cooling off between spicy dishes).

I saw another table order the Hu's special braised pork hock, but it's advance order only (same with the marinated duck). Looked and smelled amazing, but will have to try another visit.

I'd suggest a group to try as many items on the menu as possible. Some items (usually the non spicy) take a little longer to make, but it's always worth it.

Really great food at really reasonable prices. Quickly became a favourite, for sure!

had stir fried thick noodle here today and it was wonderful. everything was tasty. price is decent at $8.95 lunch special. staff was friendly, will definitely visit again and try other foods.

According to the owners, they’ve recently just opened. They have a lot of spicy dishes that you don’t predominately find in Chinese restaurants - if you are looking for sweet and sour pork then this is definitely not the restaurant for you.

We ordered about 4 dishes here and got them all to go. The dishes came out quite fast however the price is on the steeper side. My favourite dish was the boiled fish with the Sichuan style red pepper soup, it was so spicy but yet delicious.
