A-Plus Refrigeration & Appliance Service

My 10-year-old oven door no longer closed because the hinges had lost their spring so I called Platinum Appliance Service (referred by West Coast Appliances because I had bought my oven from there). The service man came to my home, looked at the oven door and said the door could not be fixed and that I should buy a new oven. He was there for 5 minutes, did nothing, charged me the $85 house call fee and left.

I was desperate to get the oven door repaired because I was using elastic bands to keep it closed when I baked. If I took the elastic bands off, the oven light would come on. Also a new problem developed where there was no ice coming out of the ice machine on my refrigerator door.

I googled appliance repair companies on the internet and found that A-Plus Refrigeration & Appliance Service had good reviews for a service man named San so I called the company and requested that San come to fix my oven door and ice machine on my refrigerator door. He was booked for a month (I guess the good ones are the ones in demand) and told me he could send someone sooner but I insisted that I wanted him. When he came a month later, he fixed my oven door by replacing the two old hinges that had lost their spring and he fixed my ice machine. And he charged SUCH a reasonable price!

About a month later, no ice came out of the machine again so I called San. He asked if water was coming out and I said yes, but not ice. He told me that no water or ice would be coming out if the problem was with the fridge so the fridge is fine. He told me to check if anything was stuck on the lever that checks the ice level and, sure enough, there was a piece of ice stuck on the lever. I broke off the piece of ice with my hand and the ice machine worked again. San could easily have come to the house and and knocked off the piece of ice causing the problem and charged me at least $65 but he told me how to fix it on the phone so that I could save myself the $65! I would DEFINITELY recommend San to repair any appliance at a VERY reasonable price (just compare his charge with that of other companies). This guy is a genius and super honest (hard to find someone like him in the world these days)!!!

Sam was amazing in taking his time diagnosing the issue with my washer. He even went over his call of duty to fix my dryer vent for free! Highly recommend him!
