  **the music was fixed**
  
  The loud music in the kitchen that competes with different music in the small dining area is pretty unbearable. They seem to get away with it because most of the customers are just students grabbing and leaving but how anyone can bear to sit and eat is beyond me.

  McDonald's is a restaurant at which you may purchase hamburgers. You can get cheese on them as well, but you must ask. They also happen to serve french fries as well as beverages. You may purchase one of each if you like. It's your choice.

  The service is not particularly quick, and the last few times I went, the lobby was absolutely filthy. The garbages were overflowing to the point of uselessness, and the tables were covered in food waste. The food quality was quite good for McDonald's.
  
  No, I'm not a regular McDonald's customer. But I occasionally indulge, and less than two decades ago I was a Swing Manager at a high-volume, corporate-owned McDonald's in Victoria. I understand the general business model. Perhaps this location is owned by a franchisee who feels students don't care about cleanliness and she/he can make an extra $100/day by not hiring someone to clean the lobby. Maybe. But it's a filthier restaurant than I ever managed or would've accepted, and it appears to have more front-end staff handling fewer customers than I ever would have employed. And yet my lobby was generally kept clean. I once got over 130 customers through my till in a single hour even as four other lines were constantly 7-customers deep. I had many employees do nearly the same. And the lobby occasionally needed work--so we sent someone out to clean it (in the middle of a rush). I don't understand why so many McDonald's restaurants seem incapable of doing this these days. This location is not uniquely bad, but it's certainly not impressive. To the owner: you could have more satisfied customers AND make more profit if you managed your location better.
