High quality food in a casual environment, with friendly service and mostly not expensive considering the ingredients they use. I chose the Risotto and the Smokey citrus salad, both were excellent, fresh and well balanced. I live nearby so I will definitely come back. We definitely needed something new and fairly priced in the neighbourhood.

I am not vegetarian, therefore for those who are not, it is still a very good choice for healthy yet tasty comfort food.

So yummy! Had the mushroom breakfast burger, which is essentially an omelette sandwich. The omelette holds itself well, while my friend's vegan burger was a bit mushier in texture (and the taste was difficult to describe). The grenade of a chickpea fritter was tasty and we had a couple desserts, the chocolate rosemary cashew cake and blueberry cheesecake. The cashew cake was not what I expected (more like a dense bar) but the blueberry cheesecake was quite light and decadent. Everything we used was compostable - big ups to the restaurant!

I had such a fantastic meal at Amaranthus! The food was absolutely delicious. The risotto was my favorite.The staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Vegetarian, Vegan, and gluten free options! Highly recommend!

Great tasting food, excellent quality, friendly service and cute restaurant. Even my non vegetarian family members loved the food so that says a lot!

So I went with the family, I’ll go not so good to great. We were disappointed that 3 of our choices were already sold out by 11am. I understand that this place is new so assuming just an adjustment phase to see the flow of customers. I was not loving the blue cheese dressing on the veggie burger but I think that item is a love or hate thing for most people! But the food we all did have was a great quality and tasted so good. The drinks are refreshing. It was fresh, hot, good portions. The menu is small but has an array of different items which is nice, it caters to vegetarian and can make vegan. Will definitely come back here.
