The exterior is fairly dilapidated. There's a lot of construction going on around the hotel, so there's going to be a number of new buildings around the hotel soon.

The beds were comfortable and the tap water is drinkable with no bad taste. It has easy access to the Lions' Gate Bridge which leads directly to Stanley Park.

Surely the location could use some updating, and improvements. I didn't find it as bad nor as great as certain comments. Improvements on the Wi-Fi to me would be the biggest thing. It was so unstable I ended up using data instead but not everyone has that option. The smells in the room is probably the other thing because of the first impression and the feeling as you sleep. I enjoyed the quietness, I was helped and checked in by a kind and polite staff member. I usually don't sleep well in unfamiliar locations but did ok here so kudos.
