I love the flying beaver. If you want to go for food near the airport this place is a must. Great views of the river and great food. Wing Wednesday is a very good deal and the wings are awesome. It gets busy though so arrive early!
One word AWESOME ! ! Had a birthday brunch with family. Every item on the extensive menu is Soooo delicious. Also what a lovely view . Will be going again very soon. You can also book a flight across to Victoria plus many other places to go.
Small place that gets busy. Out of the way at the airport, but food and drinks are good. traditionally pub style. I am giving it 5 stars because of the bartender we had. Place was very busy so went up to the bar to get our drinks. The bartender noticed that one of the drinks I ordered was non-alcoholic and asked if it was for a DD. It was. He said the drink was on him and any other drinks for the DD would be as well as. I thought this was a fantastic gesture. The rest of night, every time I went up to the bar he saw me and served me quickly, asked if I wanted the same drink as he remembered what I was drinking and new my name and tab without having to ask again. Didn't tip him until the end of the night, but he kept the service top notch even though he had not been tipped at all. Bill at the end of night was 100% accurate and a large tip was added by me.
They also have great specials for food and drink. This was a Saturday night, but it is a good spot for lunch as well.
My sister suggested this joint on our one-day adventure to Richmond. We had been nearby at Speeders.
It was technically Sunday brunch but to me it was my first meal so it was breakfast.
Parking out front the building is very limited: 5-6 slots only. The parking lot across the road is ample. Luckily we had a space open up right in front of us.
I elected the smoked salmon hash for my first meal. Then I washed it down with a November (Kraken Rum based drink) Don’t judge me, as I’m on holiday!
The hash was fantastic, filling yet not overwhelming. The drink was tasty but didn’t knock me on my arse.
The space is small but accommodating. It’s attached to Harbor Flight so many patrons are waiting out a flight. Not us!
Nice place for small or large gathering with ample parking across the restaurant. The restaurant shares the same location as Harbour Air. It is located right by the water, you get a lovely water view & float planes flying in & out. They have special of the day in the evening. We came for the Dine Our Vancouver event. For $25 , 3 course meal ain't bad. We chose seafood chowder, prawn with Caesar salad, & crab cakes. I like the crab cakes, nicely done with a salad dressing with arugula salad & diced mango. Main course we chose the ribs, prawn linguine & blackened chicken. I liked the prawn linguine, it was season in a light cream sauce with artichoke pieces, roasted pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes in the pasta. Prawns were fresh, tasty & not over cooked. Ribs came with scalloped potatoes which wasn't that well done, it was soggy. Blackened chicken came with mashed potatoes & yummy green beans. Dessert was brownie ala mode. The brownies were a tad salty but you eat it with the whipped cream & ice cream then it taste good. Nice place with a view... the pub is remote & sort of off the beaten path... locals & airport staff are familiar with the pub, it tends to get pretty crowded...
The Flying Beaver offers great microbrew beers and inspired menus in an utterly unique West Coast environment. Located at the North End of the No.2 Road Bridge in Richmond, the Beaver lets you sit and watch the arrival and departure of the Harbour Air seaplanes on the Middle Arm of the Fraser River.

Flying Beaver Bar & Grill is located within the Sea Island at the seaplane terminal. It is definitely a hidden gem because it is almost impossible for people to find it. However, the coolest thing about this place is that it is right on the water and you actually get to watch the seaplanes take off!
