Good quality choices.
A good place for vegan
The owners (I assume?) here are very kind. I speak Mandarin with them, but I'm sure they speak English as well. When I first went there, they walked through everything that I might like and gave me a lot of great recommendations. When I went for the second time, I mentioned that I was preparing a vegan hot pot for my birthday and they even gave me a free snack :). Good people, great intentions, and I have loved every single thing I've bought from here!
I love this place. It was recommended to me by a Buddhist friend-of-a-friend as THE place for quality vegetarian “meats”. It’s pretty spare inside, just a big room lined with refrigerators and deep freezers and a dry goods shelf in the middle. The woman behind the desk is very helpful and makes suggestions based on what you’re looking for. Some items contain dairy or eggs, but she knows the products very well so if you’re looking for vegan items specifically, make sure you tell her. I highly recommend the citrus spareribs, ginger “chicken”, bbq “pork” buns, sticky rice pockets, vegetarian “shrimp” and their variety of tasty dumplings. I haven’t bought a single item here I wasn’t impressed by the taste and quality of.
