Their food quality is pretty good and the service is nice. The downside is that they can be quite a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants around the area. The sesame oil they have is super high calories so don't put too much at once. We really liked their pork intestines, shrimps (the ones with heads) and kung Fu potatoes, which were sliced super thinly. Overall if you want to spend some money for decent hotpot this is a good place to go.
Came here on weekday lunch time so no waiting at all. We ordered tomato base and spicy beef tallow. The tomato base is a MUST try! Suitable with beef slices and all veggies. Unfortunately, pig brain and duck intestines were both out of order. My friend said the dipping dish was too oily (she's not used to this style) but it ends up being not quite enough for me. We both agree the service was great but price sure is on the high end. Will come back for other dishes.
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
*Highly recommend the spicy butter soup base and tomato
Food: Highly recommend ordering:
1. Goose intestines 鹅肠
2. Layered tripe 千层肚
3. Thinly sliced celtuce 功夫莴笋
4. Brown sugar glutinous rice 红糖糍粑
Service:
Generally servers are very attentive. One of the times I went there, I found a long piece of hair in my fried meat 酥肉. The server said the manager would speak to me in which she never did. However, I did receive a free clear jelly dessert as compensation.
Ambience:
Nice open space. Cool decor.
Great food with outstanding service.
House was pretty much occupied but one of the staff managed to arrange a table for us as walk-in. Dining experience was also very warm since all staffs were willing to spare their hands helping our immediate needs. And in the end when we were packing leftovers, another staff also helped us with categorizing various kinds of food into the right combination to make sure flavours stay the same.
I would really like to recommend other people to try it out. By the way, exterior design of the house is on fire too which is nice for pictures if you can capture the lights and shades on the wall paint.
Xiaolongkan Hotpot serves fresh food in premium quality. The service is also great. Things are on the pricey side though depends on your order. On average it costs about one full-priced AAA game to three AAA games per person.
