False Creek Pure Dental

For the past couple of years, I was one of those people who struggled with a moderate degree of dental anxiety. Why? No particular reason; my past experiences had been largely good ones. Just one of those things. I've had a lot of work done over the years, but had fallen into a period of not going for the past two and a half years or so. I felt bad about it, but didn't know how to snap out of the cycle.

A couple of years ago, I bought into the Olympic Village area literally right around the corner from False Creek Pure Dental. I walked by the clinic multiple times a day, liked what I saw and felt, and told myself that, one day, I'd become a patient there. Finally, a few weeks ago, I summoned the courage to reach out to them via their website, and request a new patient exam and cleaning. (For me, this was a big step).

A big part of what makes False Creek Pure Dental special is the exceptional degree of personal care you feel. Within 24 hours of submitting that form online. Dr. Xu called me personally to schedule an appointment. When I went for my check-up and cleaning, I was nervous, but, when you walk into the office, the immediate feeling is one of welcoming and that you've come to exactly the right place. Dr. Xu, Sibylle, and Lexie are highly professional, gentle, and experienced. Abigail at the front desk worked with me to help connect the clinic's billing to my insurance, and the technology evident in the office is impressive. While you're having a routine dental exam, you can literally see via camera what Dr. Xu sees - or, if you'd prefer, you can just watch Netflix.

I felt seen, cared for, and appreciated, with every question I had answered, and those feelings did a lot to make me feel good about continuing to go. Dr. Xu is especially knowledgeable about wisdom teeth (which I still have), and it was great to be able to talk through plans for them with him.

False Creek Pure Dental is a welcoming, professional, experienced, and safe place for all of your dental needs. It's really great to have this clinic less than a block from home. I'd recommend it highly to people in the market for a new dental office, those with specific issues related to wisdom teeth, and any other general dentistry need.

There's a reason why this clinic is so highly rated - they're incredibly helpful, take time to educate you about your teeth and general dental hygiene, and are kind and all around lovely people! They've got a patient for life out of me. Can't recommend them enough!!!!

All operating nurses and doctors are clearly skilled, they also offer leading technology wisdom teeth removal that’s painless and heals extremely fast— relieved my anxiety around dentists.

Dr. Xu is a very professional and experienced dentist. Staff in his dental are good and patient as well. I've been going there regularly for treatment, they are super good! Strongly recommended.

I just had my last wisdom tooth removal by Dr. Xu. PAINLESS!!!!!! Compared to my other 3 wisdom teeth surgeries by 3 different dentists, this is the best experience of all. I told Dr. Xu I always had a fear of needle injections. So He decided to use his new computer controlled anesthesia machine to freeze my tooth. It didn't hurt at all. He literally got my wisdom tooth taken out in 5 mins. Again, didn't hurt at all. I didn't have to take any painkiller after the surgery or have any trouble of eating/talking.
Dr. Xu is very honest, professional and confident with what he does. His assistant is one of the most warmhearted people I have ever seen.
If you are afraid of needles like me, make sure ask him to use the special anesthesia machine on your teeth.
