  Great place. Owner is super friendly and understanding and offers the best out of anyone else. Super fair prices on merchandise as well. Shop is super clean and staff is always really good at answering questions and being respectful. Would give six stars if there was an option for it!

  I had an issue with a laptop I purchased from A-1. Phoned them up two days later and no problem. They did everything possible to make sure I was treated fairly. I now have a different machine that works perfect.

  Even though I hate pawn shops I thought I'd give this place a try because it has good reviews....
  
  They refused to even make an offer on a $1000 citizen watch with case, receipt and in mint condition because they sell new ones there. You're a pawn shop, not a jewellery store. The guy just said "No" and pushed it back at me without any explanation...I had to ask why. Would've been a lot more professional if he had said "Sorry we can't accept it because....."
  It's clean and well-presented for a pawn shop so I'll still give them 3 stars.
  
  I appreciate the reply explaining it further but unfortunately I was not shown that courtesy when I visited.

  Great pawn shop, good location. Very Clean, well lit and organized. Great assortment of electronics, also a very good selection of video games. Fair prices, often cheaper than other sellers on Craigslist etc. Friendly and easy to deal with staff. Highly recommend. Best shop of its type around!

  My experience with A1 Pawn Shop is always great. If they can't help out financially with the item you have, they will give you advice on what your options are. There is always a lot of stock on laptops, jewelry, headphones, gaming consoles as well as games, cell phones, and other miscellaneous items.
  The staff has always been helpful. You never have to wait very long for service and they greet you in a friendly manner. I have used A1 for purchases and loans until payday. My things were always in the condition they were in when pawned, when they are picked up. Other pawn shops in the area are really dishonest ( in my opinion) based on personal experiences. A couple of times I tried to pawn something and they tried offering five dollars on two separate occasions. One time for mint Ray bans that were over 200$ and I forget the merchandise on a different occasion but it was definitely worth more than 5$. That shop is on Main St. and the ones downtown are just as shady as far as I am concerned. Hope this helps everyone out in making a good decision when it comes to selecting a pawn shop.
