Many years ago before I met Dr.Yu I used to hate going to the dentist but still went routinely every 6 months as a child and teenager. After a couple of bad experiences, including a terrible wisdom teeth extraction, I eventually stopped going to the dentist at around age 20. A decade later while living in Vancouver I noticed Dr.Yu's office which was a minute from my apartment. I knew I needed to see a dentist eventually and after a decade of not seeing one I feared I had waited too long already which could have some serious long term consequences. . After weeks of procrastinating I booked an appointment with Dr.Yu. I was very nervous the morning of my appointment, partially because of my teeth but also because I am now disabled in a wheelchair and I have a bullet in my spine making laying on my back very uncomfortable, plus I also get spasms in my leg that are very painful and can be very unpredictable. I was upfront about my issues with the staff in Dr.Yu's office and everyone was very receptive to my issue and accommodated me very graciously. The assistant and Dr.Yu were very nice on my first visit and even though I was nervous they made me feel at ease. Before I knew it the cleaning, x-ray and everything was done. I was so happy with the experience I decided to book again with Dr.Yu's office and I have continued to go back every 6 months since. I even had an old filling replaced just earlier today and like always Dr.Yu and her assistant were great. The bad experiences I had as a child with my old dentists were completely different than the experiences with Dr.Yu so I'm no longer nervous when I go to the dentist. I 100% recommend her, especially if you've had some previous bad experiences elsewhere. Dr.Yu really cares about her patients and makes sure you can be as comfortable as possible. If I had to sum up my experience in one word it would be 'Fantastic!"
