Cute minimalist cabin. You get a code and arrive with zero interactions which really pleased us to no end. Basically never laid eyes on another human the whole stay.
The kitchen was stuffed with beautiful baking and snacks. The owners knew my husband was vegan and provided multiple options for him.
Chefs kiss.
Kitoki Inn has been an amazing experience thus far! The cabins are elegantly refined in an authentic Japanese style, as is the private onsen (hotspring). The breakfast is healthy and tasty, the kitchen is well appointed with coffee and a variety of herbal teas, and the books and games that can be borrowed are a nice touch. It has everything one needs to relax and rejuvenate!
Kitoki Inn is an amazing getaway from the city. Everything is so thoughtful in every way. It is carefully and meticulously set up and clean. The bath is so relaxing. I loved being in the minimalist cabin that is aesthetically pleasing. You really get to experience some of the Japanese way of being. The nature and beauty that surrounds you feeds your souls. I loved every minute of it and can’t wait to go back.
What a stay!
Took us about 40 minutes to get here from downtown Vancouver. It really felt like we were transported to another place.

Local faves:
Alderwood Farm - tiramisu and veggie pizza, yes it can fit in your fridge and toaster oven, get 2
Tunstell beach - Decent place to swim, paddleboard and kayak. Lots of families. Saw an eagle dive out of the sky and eat a fish. It was wild.
They have a pickleball court there but it’s “members only”. They won’t take bribes.
Snug Cafe - can’t go wrong with anything they make, great coffee and pastry program, sandwich special and salads are on point, guy who runs the place runs a tight ship and I dug it.
Mount Gardner hike - pretty, but maybe too tough on mushrooms
Riley’s Cidery - great (and educational) tasting sesh, passionate people with a great story, took 2 to-go
Bowen Island Pub - great Cobb and Caesar special, must have every visit
Happy Isle Cannabis - Awesome customer service, great place to pick up BZAM and -ness products
The Kitoki Inn offers a perfectly relaxing experience in a totally beautiful setting. The aesthetic is tasteful and minimalist. Every detail of the grounds, cabins, and bathhouse are thoroughly thought through. We've already made our next reservation.
