Great place for kayaks/ inflatable tubes
It was beatiful
A great place to launch a kayak(Pavilion not open to public)at no charge. Lot's of parking. The lake was calm. During the day there are hundreds of Water lily's, later in the day, dusk, the flowers close up. A very quiet place to kayak. Sunsets are amazing!!
Went for a wedding here - beautiful spot on the water, great venue fits 100+ people, except during summer it gets hot as balls in there. If there's a/c, it doesn't work. Guy from the live band told me it's been that way for years, since he played a wedding there last time.
Lots of paddling. 2 kilometers of relatively open water is great for training and increasing your chances of being struck by lightning almost ten fold. A mysterious cocktail of organic and chemical substances mixed in with the water serve as a sort of super vaccination to bolster your immune system against a variety of gastro intestinal illnesses. The wildlife comes in a startling assortment of mostly omnivorous mammals with the notable exception of the beavers, though this is easily overcome by carrying around 10 ibs of carrion whenever you are in the park.
