The Cornerstone

The Cornerstone building is always clean and well-maintained, and the staff is always willing and ready to help. We particularly enjoy the clean and scent-free environment of this building as we are both extremely sensitive to smoke and smell. In addition, the building is quiet and distraction-free and ideal for working or studying, since there are guidelines that are respected by everyone in the building. Lastly, I have to mention that Cindy and Tina who manage the property are the best and the most helpful team.

The Cornerstone Building, located on Burnaby Mountain just off the Simon Fraser University campus, is a wonderful rental property. The site management and staff are thoughtful, caring, and proficient in their work, and they always strive to ensure that tenants are safe, secure, and comfortable. Units are cozy, nicely laid out, and have a modern feel, and indoor fitness facilities are available for all residents.

Removed from the hustle and bustle of the denser city spaces, the immediate neighborhood is generally quiet and peaceful, but a wide range of amenities are also readily accessible (e.g., a grocery store, postal outlet, bank, dental/optometry offices, SFU’s primary transit exchange, et cetera). The building also happens to be mere minutes away from beautiful green spaces and access to the Trans Canada Trail Network, not to mention the SFU campus itself.

This is a lovely property in a pleasant community, and is overseen by staff who are friendly and approachable. I was so happy to discover The Cornerstone when I was scouting out living spaces before relocating to Burnaby. It's really great!!

As a student at SFU I enjoy living in this area of Univercity where everything is close, restaurants, the university facilities, and even a small gym within the building. The building staff and maintenance workers are friendly and professional, and they get things done very easily and quickly. There is nothing bad about living at The Cornerstone. The neighbours are also quite friendly.

Overall, the building is great. It is in a good area, close to amenities, ideal for SFU students. There is a gym in the building that has everything you need for a simple workout. The buidling staff are friendly and the maintenance staff are professional and always made repairs in my unit in a timely fashion. The only thing I did not know prior to moving here is that cell reception within buildings (this includes many other buildings on the mountain too) is quite weak (0 to 1 bars of service). This makes it difficult to make phone calls and receive calls from the buzzer in the building. The cell reception is good outside, but this is most likely a reception issue in the area and not the buding itself, so there isn't anything that can be done about this by the property management unfortunately. I would recommend this building to students who would like a convenient place to live.

It's really lucky for me to live in such a clean and well-managed apartment compare to the ones used to live in. All the neighbors are very friendly, making people feel at home even if it's a rental apartment.staffs in the building are really hard-working and helpful. The whole building has a positive vibe that i can rest in a happy mood every day. I really appreciate the hard work and patience of the staff. Hope everyone can live here happily.
