Being a first-time bride, I had no idea how much time and effort went into planning a wedding. This led to me looking for a wedding planner. The wedding was held in my parent’s back yard, so I knew by hiring Emily she would help make everything go smoothly. Emily came recommended to us with great reviews, so we hired her for the full wedding planning package. Emily and I worked together on my wedding over the last year and a half. During this time, we ended up planning not one but three weddings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Emily was there for me to help with any questions and provided recommendations of vendors. She was full of invaluable knowledge. Planning this wedding had its challenges. For example, the catering company we originally booked for our wedding went bankrupt. Emily helped deal with all of these challenges. She was professional, efficient, organized and helpful every step of the way. Even after the ceremony and speeches were over and Emily was leaving for the evening, she noticed the Police driving down the street. The noise complaint was due to the band we had hired. Emily handled this quickly, so my family did not have to, and it did not interfere with our evening. The one thing with planning a wedding is that you never know what is going to happen but having a wedding planner was the best decision I made. I recognize that my experience is unique but if Emily can plan a beautiful wedding during a pandemic then imagine what she can do for you. She was invaluable in so many ways. I would highly recommend her to any bride.

The best decision we made in our wedding planning was the decision to hire a wedding planner- and then that planner helped us make a bunch of other great decisions! We had been to a few weddings that Emily had planned and even as guests we could see how much Emily contributed to the flow and success of those weddings so we felt very confident in hiring her. Emily has a great sense of urgency, she’s passionate, she’s well-connected, and she has your best interests at heart. From our first exploratory meeting 6 months in advance to the final minutes of our wedding day in August 2019, we could tell Emily truly cared about us having a wonderful experience. She was very accurate in her budgeting and her estimates on our liquor and food costs, and she knows how to collaborate with all the other vendors in the lead-up and day-of (photographer, videographer, hair & make-up, DJ, etc.) It was remarkable how little we (bride and groom) had to think/worry on our wedding day- we just left all the logistics and minor hiccups in Emily’s capable hands and relaxed and enjoyed the day! We are so grateful to have had Emily Ireland as our planner. She is honest, empathetic, generous with her time, and will have your back. She has a wealth of knowledge and offers creative solutions to the multitude of issues that arise. She was reasonably-priced and we never felt pressured by her to spend over our budget. We hired Emily for a full planning package. She was very helpful on the lead-up and critical on the day-of. We would recommend Emily to our friends.
