City Centre Aquatic Complex

The City Centre Aquatic Complex is a great place for swimming, with a lap pool and wave pool. The weight room has everything but it can be hard to get equipment because it's so busy. The staff is friendly. Beware of the swim meet because it closes the lap pool during it. They offer 1 day, 10 visit, 30 day, and 1 year passes.

I live in Burnaby but will occasionally drive to coquitlam for the lap swimming times they offer on the weekends. For laps, I appreciate that the water temperature is usually a bit cooler than other cities. They also offer diving boards, a zip line, a waterslide, mini wave pool and sauna as well as a large lapswimming pool and deep pool. I have noticed that the water clarity can be slightly cloudy compared to other cities, and that the change room floor could be cleaned a bit more often.

Nothing bad and nothing amazing either. Just your local aquatic centre perfect for a quick set of laps or lessons for kids. What more could you ask for. It serves it's purpose well

A nice place to swim and enjoy aquatic leisure activities. Though, it was built almost a decade ago when the city's population was considerably less than this of today's. The hot tub gets so crowded at times that it surpasses its capacity and people don't feel comfortable. The shower water temperature is a concern most of the time, usually it is cold and rarely hot.
