I bought a M72 (ICOM handheld Marine VHF radio) in 2009. Used it very happily with zero problem until 2019. Then had a little problem with the control knob being seized with salt corrosion (the unit is on my shoulder with no extra protection while sea kayaking in the ocean, and I sea kayak a lot!). Talked to Onkar then Albert at ICOM service in Delta, BC who helped me through the repair. I got my radio back almost as new, with the waterproofing seals rechecked, for a very reasonable price. Excellent customer service. So I would definitely recommand this company for their products and service. And buying again from them would be a no brainer.
iCOM is one of my favorite radio brands.
I called iCom in Vancouver explaining how my remote Commander microphone had stopped working. They forwarded me to their Mississauga location. There I spoke to a very pleasant Sales Manager - Murray. He suggested I arrange for a time to come into their office to talk with their technician Rose. I explained the problem, which I was sure was the cable. Rose asked a few questions, then took my mic into the back. Shortly, she let me know it was a loose wire inside the unit, she had soldered it and it was good to go.
It is indeed a real pleasure to deal with a company who's people are all so pleasant, caring and efficient. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend iCom products. This is the first problem I have had with my three iCom radios in over 6 years and how it was dealt with was top notch.
