My 1970 Chevelle is my baby. I first found this shop while on a forum. I bent my transmission shift cable and I just did not have time to replace it. I chatted with the owner who is one-man show, and his confidence put me at ease right away so I brought it to him. He replaced the cable for me, but quickly realized that was not the issue. I’m glad he figured it out because I may not have, and ruined another cable or damage my transmission. He quickly identified the problem when was able to fix it. About six months later, I decided to completely strip and repaint my car. I’ve shopped around everywhere, and was faced with some prices above what I paid for the car. I called the Hornets Nest. We came up with a plan, and the price that works for both of us and he got to work. It freaked me out because once you start, you can’t go back and I knew there was some underlying issues. He has kept me in the loop every bit of the way, he takes a ton of photos, invites me to the shop to take a look all the time or anytime something comes up. I know that he can go out and buy all the new parts, but I like that he gives me the option to source them myself. He can be as hands off or hands on as you want. I 100% percent trust the shop with my car and would definitely recommend them to anybody needing any work up to and including frame off restoration.
