When we were building our new home, our builder recommended Sarah Gallop and her team for the architecture and design part of the project. We were confident that we were in good hands after the first meeting with Rob and Sarah to discuss our lifestyle and vision for the new home. They were knowledgeable, professional and down to earth. Sarah captured all of our ideas and wish list, and designed a home that fits our family lifestyle. The team at SGDI worked closely with our builder throughout the build process and made the project quite smooth. The end result is a gorgeous and functional home which fits our family. We highly recommend Sarah and her team, in fact we already have recommended SGDI to some of our friends and will continue to do so. It has been such a pleasure working with SGDI!

We had been following SGDI for quite some time and were impressed with all the beautiful homes that we had seen on their Instagram. When it came time for us to design our home, the choice we would make for an interior designer was a clear one. We were attracted to the Urban Farmhouse style of design, but we had a very precise level of sophistication that we wished to have applied throughout to elevate the style. Sarah and her team were able to interpret the very degree of formality that we desired and apply it throughout our house plans. The perfect amount of polish was placed in all the key areas and the resulting home is a place that we are just in love with and can’t wait to return to each and every day!

Throughout the process of design, Sarah’s team took the countless ideas and thoughts bouncing around in our heads, sorted through them, and worked them into a perfect package which we handed off to our builder. They were able to get into our heads and help us design the very best version of what we truly wanted. SGDI worked so well with our builder; the communication was key to the beautiful outcome of this project. The house is a place that we can be proud to share with our friends – but also a place that absolutely functions for the way that we want to live and relax in it as a busy family.

Some of our favourite features of the home include the high ceilings throughout – vaulted in every bedroom – with beam detailing that relaxes the more formal elements. The various featured millwork and wall paneling details throughout in high-contrast velvety tones. And, of course, our powder room is a visual treat for every guest to visit, with its emerald tile and jewel shaped mirror and pendants…. we are super excited that it is currently a Georgie Awards 2022 Finalist – Custom Home valued between $1,000,001- $1,500,000!

Three years ago we decided to pursue building the perfect house for our family. After a long search we settled on a beautiful property on which to build our forever home. The existing house on this property did not suit our needs and so we decided that the best route to take would be to build a new house to realize exactly what we wanted for our family.

At the recommendation of our builder we met with Sarah Gallop and quickly determined that she and her team would be a great fit to bring the vision of our future home to life. We found SGDI's design services to be extremely attentive, professional, and SGDI worked closely with us to sort out every detail we had envisioned for our new home. We also found Sarah and her Team to be highly engaged with our vision, and they worked patiently to incorporate all of our desires into the final plan. We appreciated how knowledgeable the entire team was and how they put their best effort into designing our new home to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted. Their passion for client satisfaction through design is apparent!

Having lived in our new home for a while now, we love how it functional our fabulous new home is. It is nearly impossible to choose a favorite space in this wonderful house, but if forced to choose the bar/rec room and main floor powder room are the front runners, but my wife has a definite soft spot for the Master Closet. The entire home is very well thought out, extremely functional and aesthetically it provides a wonderful backdrop to showcase family heirlooms that reflect our respective personalities and most treasured memories.

This house is everything that we wanted it to be! Sarah’s team did a wonderful job of capturing the elements we wanted from the initial vision that we presented to them. Looking back at the ideas within the images we originally sent to SGDI during the initial design phase of the project, you can see influences yet our home is a perfectly unique design and one-of-a-kind! We love living here!
