The wine at Blackwood Lane is 5 star.

The service is good.

However, the amount of wine given during a tasting is borderline insulting. Their premier tasting involves 4-5 wines for $20 and I would be surprised if the aggregate volume was 2 oz. It really wasn't enough to get a sense for the flavor profile. The staff was even hesitant to provide a drop to taste before buying a bottle, which seems out of touch given restaurants allow samples before even a glass of wine is purchased. Having had Blackwood Lane before, I know from experience it is nice; just not from my "tasting" experience yesterday.

Very good wine! Stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't get any history or information about the wine that we paid a fair amount to try, especially considering you don't get the tasting fee back or considered when you purchase a bottle. If you are comparing this winery to others nearby it's very expensive, but having said that, they have incredible wine.
