Louisa is by far the best teacher I ever had. She was my instructor prior to me moving away, if I were in the position to continue riding lessons I would be. She taught me that no person knows everything with horses, and that there is ALWAYS something new to be learned! She was stern and helpful. To this day I still have a seat like glue on a horse, and it is thanks to her. Everything I know I learned from this amazing teacher. She is a strong woman who knows what's she is doing, and if she sees you have potential as a rider, she will grind at you, every lesson to bring you to that potential she sees in you. Absolutely wonderful woman, I miss riding here so much but if people ever come to me asking who my teacher was, its Louisa .. I will always always recommend this talented fine lady!
I have been going to Louisa for about a year now and I have learned a ton, not just about riding, but about common sense. To put it simply, she taught me how to do things safely, efficiently and properly. I have memories that I will never lose and I love sharing them with other people, even if they don’t want to hear it (especially not for the millionth time, though it never gets old for ME. Heh.) I hope that everyone who comes through her gate will be as amazed by all the things she knows and be able to learn just as much as I have.
Spent a full summer there, one of my best-ever summers! We did everything about running a farm and caring for horses, trust me when I say that if you are looking for a great teacher who wants to get to know you, look no farther than Louisa nicholls of cedars equestrian! The Ducks and other assorted small birds are awesome and TEX is SO MASCUELINE
!
Louisa is an excellent instructor and coach. If she was still in Southlands, I would be sending my kids to her.
Louisa Nichols is tough, good tough. She teaches them what it is really like to have a horse, have a barn. My daughter struggled 4 years ago when she started. They are made to do it themselves. I had to leave lol. too much whining. Riding isn't showing up all pretty 15 min before your lesson, brush a clean horse, saddle and ride. I don't want my daughter at a preppy barn where everything is perfect. She is 12 now and she has grown so much. She loves it, she rides different horses, handles different things. Sometimes its cold, sometimes its really muddy, you are still going. I want life skills in my daughter, life isn't perfect. She is 90 lbs putting the jumps together, that's what I want. I recommend this barn, they really learn what a farm/barn life is really like. Louisa is real and pushes them out of their comfort zone. She changed my princess to be more self sufficient.
