I used to quote “l’m a Canadian and I know how to walk” to everyone of my student when learning how to back out of a parking spot. This is a real story that I encountered while walking towards my parked car few years ago; half way to it a car was backing out from a parking spot, I saw a tall lady with sunglasses walk behind it, the car stop immediately. I asked the lady “why are you still walking pass that backing out car”. The arrogant lady replied me without even have eye contact with me and said” I’m a Canadian and I know how to walk”. Therefore always do a 360 degrees check before and while backing out of a parking spot to avoid car accident.
