I'm a newer move in to a home with geothermal. During the recent cold snap in February our furnace stopped blowing warm air. We had another company come out but they could not property repair it. I spent 3-4 hours finding someone who had familiarity with geothermal and/or Bosch units. I was becoming desperate. Scott at West Coast Geothermal answered my call and was able to properly diagnose the issue and explained to me over the phone what was going on and what to do. He spent 35 minutes with me over the phone and now my system works. No bill. He was also familiar with the technician of the other company who tried to do the work. Scott and his team retrofitted an air-to-water heat pump into my (formerly) natural gas house. Now my house is completely off fossil fuels.

Scott is very knowledgeable about different solutions. He helped me plan ahead according to my future renovation goals and suggested the right equipment for that strategy. He got the equipment onto CleanBC's eligibility list so I ended up with a decent CleanBC rebate after the heat pump was installed.

The communication with everyone at West Coast Geothermal was professional and very timely. There were pandemic-related issues along the way but Scott's team is responsive and adaptable. All together, we must have exchanged over 200+ emails to overcome the obstacles.

The heat pump needed some fine tuning after installation and the team found the time to make things right, even over the busy winter holidays.

I highly recommend West Coast Geothermal. I look forward to working with them again when I save up enough for the next part of my renovation plan.

My Geo thermal/System unit would not stay on or cool the house. It was getting hotter out and humid...The fan would go on but after a few minutes the compressor would shut off.
i called Scott Martin at West Coast Geothermal, and discussed the issue,,,he gave me advise and different options to fix and diagnose the problem. Then he personally ,drove out to my place ,an hour away today,,,, to see me He looked at my heat pump unit and with in a few minutes fixed the problem. He also left me his card to call or text if I had any problems. I was so relieved thinking,to my self,, that the unit ,I have ,, was over 10 yrs old..and that I was looking at ,,possibly a new compressor replacement or something even bigger. Scott was very calm and patient and efficient and so knowledgeable. I don't think any other company would of spent the time talking with me and giving me options ,,never mind coming out so fast. I will be forever great full. He is a great person. I would definitely recommend him to anyone here ,where I live, as all of the homes are connected to the geothermal system and are all around the same age. Thank you again Scott Sincerely Rose

Very timely response, excellent service and work, great staff, very knowledgeable and professional - highly recommend to everyone. They got our malfunctioning geothermal system up and running just before a heat wave hit!

I moved into a house that was heated and cooled by a geothermal system. I had no prior knowledge about /or experience with this technology so when my system failed I sought expert help. The first contractor was from Chilliwack and came to me through advice from a neighbour. He arrived in short order, diagnosed my issue, and left me with the promise of a quote and a solution in short order. The quote eventually came, but weeks later, and seemingly excessively high, as was the time delay I would face ( almost 3 months!) as his supplier was in the United States. After a second contractor took a look at the problem and tried to basically sell me an entirely different kind of system complete with lots of other equipment I had no need for, I continued on my quest for a competent contractor. I found just that with West Coast Geothermal. What an exceptional company! Great staff and terrific communication. Work happened as scheduled and in short order. The crew were careful, courteous and even followed up on two occasions to make sure the system was working as I expected it to. I couldn't be happier and have already recommended them to some acquaintances and neighbours who were looking for similar maintenance and service of their geothermal systems. AAA+++
