I am a local contractor who has had the pleasure of doing a few projects for PALS. For myself and my crew it has been one of the most memorable and enjoyable places to work. During our time at the school, the patience, care and commitment we witnessed of the staff to the students was truly remarkable. It was a very positive experience and I am thankful we had the opportunity to be able to contribute to such an incredible organization.

PALS has been a game changer for our family. Kiddo was in public school for a while, and although they tried their best, they were unable to offer the kind of support he needed. He was getting sent home 3x a week or not able to go at all if a support worker called in sick. I was so burnt out from fighting the ministry, sourcing out BI’s, managing the home team, trying to work..... if you know, you know what I’m saying. The public system was not built for my child.
Then we found PALS. Not only is kiddo supported properly, I am supported too. We have been attending for 3 years now. Their staff are amazing, professional, qualified and they genuinely care about us. I never have to worry about behaviours getting my guy sent home, I really don’t have to worry about anything with them. PALS has the means and expertise to give my guy a tailored curriculum that is allowing him every opportunity to learn and thrive.
I can imagine what SN parents and kiddos in the public system must be experiencing during this pandemic, how hard it must be. I’m over here breathing a sigh of relief that I don’t have worry about any of that. I absolutely recommend this school. I don’t know what we would do without them.

Working at PALS was really an amazing experience. The Prinicple and staff were so welcoming from day 1. The staff provide so much support and aid to all the needs that are specific to the students. I am a student majoring in psychology with a focus on ABA, and I'm so glad I got to be part of an amazing program, as I did not know that such a program had been established. Its very heart warming to know that there are people out there who have really given their all to helping students on the spectrum be successful in their academics but also daily activities.

PALS School based program is a truly special environment. I had the good fortune of completing a practicum placement at PALS for part of my training as Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst. I also worked there part time following my practicum placement.

I have worked in several different ABA specific school settings and PALS is the one that had the greatest impact on my life. The program model is exceptional and the students genuinely seem to love attending school everyday. Most of all, the community that has been created by the families, staff, board of directors, and community supports is a real embodiment of love, respect, and inclusion. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at PALS and often think back fondly on the time I spent there. Thanks PALS community!

Our son attended public school from grade 1 to grade 4 and although the school district tried their best to help our son, it was not the right fit.

In 2014, when we enrolled our son at PALS, our lives changed. Through the years our son’s overall development immensely improved and we attribute this to the positive learning environment and sustained professionalism and expertise of PALS professionals: teachers, educational instructors, behaviour analyst, speech pathologist, occupational therapist and principal.

At present our son is continuing to build on his functional communication, academic skills, adaptive behaviour, functional and life skills.

We owe a debt of gratitude to PALS Autism Society School Program for opening its doors to our family and altering our son’s future to a brighter tomorrow. We are living proof that with patience, collaboration and mutual support between school and home, individuals living with the diagnosis of autism can live their lives to its fullest potential.
