(September 21, 2019, 4:35 am)Spent 6 hours on the Fraser River guided by Peter in his 18’ well outfitted aluminium jet boat and landed 3 sturgeons. Peter is a very experienced fishing guide and avid outdoorsman. Within 40 minutes of anchoring we got a strike and I landed my first Sturgeon. By the end of the day I had landed 3, the largest being 7’8”. Our guide was even equipped with scanning technology and we were able to determine whether the fish had been previously tagged. One of the sturgeons caught had been and other two were not. I then had opportunity to witness first hand the tagging method used to help conserve and track these beautiful prehistoric fish. What a day!
