Petland Port Coquitlam

The staff caring animals are friendly and seem to have passions in taking good care of them. However, the experience of purchasing pet food is a different story. They have confusingly an online (sale) price, a regular price and a member sale price, and no one tells you that they are all different until you find discrepancies in what they charge and ask. And they seem to be more willing to charge you the highest price, which is usually 10-15% higher than other locally-owned pet stores.

Animals are well taken care for. Their enclosures look very clean and well kept. Open pens for easier human-animal interaction. They have great knowledge on animal care and informative pamphlets on many pets, definitely more informative than other pet stores. Very friendly and knowledgable staff.

This Petland is a pretty good pet store. I like their selection of fish supplies. They don't carry my brand of dog food and only have a few raw food selections but the service is usually very good. They carry products for all types of pets, not just cats and dogs. They also carry differing qualities of products, some not the greatest and some really good.
