Had happy hour today. Service was very good and friendly staff. Ordered corn dogs and devil eggs...deep fried perfectly...breading was light and slightly sweet. Eggs were very tasty as well. Also got the buck a shuck oysters...fairly small ones, a bit creamy...could be a bit colder for a fresher taste; otherwise good and good value for $1. Decent IPA for special price. Will go back and try other food next time.
Chicken is finger licking good, moist, tender and spiced to perfection. The whole staff was friendly and attentive. Glass of water never hit empty, all requests were met with a smile. Price was reasonable for the quality of food. You can't go wrong.
The service here is truly excellent. From the bartender to the server, they work as a team and everyone was very nice and good folk who wanted to ensure each guest had a pleasant experience. Thanks.
The portions of their entrees are huge so you will definitely be full and have leftovers to take home too. They do make an effort to make their food aesthetically pleasing. Looks nice.
In terms of taste... It's not bad but also not excellent. Some items like the corn soup was fantastic while other items could use a little tweaking and improvement.
Overall, this place gets five stars for the staff that make you feel part of a little community and they do care and try to make your experience positive. The place has heart and soul. Worth trying for the unique experience and vibes.
