Great place for newbies and seasoned veterans. Good parking, bathrooms and clean area.
Great for new and advanced bike riders, with a nice selection of jumps, and a small pump track.
Bike Park is one of the few ones in Vancouver, and I frequently take our Bike Club Members, (Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School), out to the bike park. The features are of variety and signage is mostly clear. But the amount of small kids there is outrageous!!
BIKE PARK/ PUMP TRACK RULES:
1. WATER THE JUMPS!!
If you don't water the jumps, they deteriorate and break quickly over use. And since bike park maintenance is only done by volunteers, please do take care of cities' property.
2. DON'T HOG THE PARK
If you want to set your bag down, get a sip of water, that is fine. But for you parents out there, don't treat it as a playground, and setup camp chairs and tables. If you want to have a picnic, go to the park next doors.
3. BE AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL DANGERS
MTB is an extreme sport, dude! Falling off the bike, casing a jump or even getting hit by others is only part of the game. If you or your kids gt hurt, especially if they get run into by another rider, don't blame it on them.
4. KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING
Going the wrong way down a track is the last thing you want to do. Know which way you should be going
Fun! There's a little loop that my 4 year old beginner can do. It can get a bit busy with advanced riders, so keep that in mind if your kids are just starting out.
I bring the kids here and they have a great time. There is a mix of ages from the young ones to the teens. They share the park well and enjoy using all the different park features. Parents can find a spot to watch and help if necessary.
