I learned about this hidden gem from my uncle, who's a bit of a foodie in the Richmond area. Since many HK style diners have closed down (due to real estate buyouts, or COVID19 in general), it's tough to find a decent place for milk tea and classic baked dishes. HK flavour is relatively new to the block (2 years since open), but already a favourite among HK locals.

From the entrance you can tell management are doing their best in these pandemic times; plenty of bilingual signage and notices, tables set up 2m apart, servers all wear masks & gloves. Cudos to the manager - he's very attentive and courteous, and puts in a lot of effort to wipe down and sanitize seats and tables, making sure customers feel safe and comfortable. They even set up a centralized "take out table" for quick and easy pick up orders.

Now for the food; it is good! My family went yesterday around noon, specifically for their lunch menu. We tried the Thai Chicken Fried Rice, the Baked Pork Loin Rice, and the Spicy Sausage Tomato Spaghetti. All have their own unique flavour. I could tell the chefs put some heart into the dishes; from the special mix of herbs they use to marinate the pork, to the slight sprinkle of Japanese seasoning on the rice, and also use of real fresh corn (not canned).

Other things worth mentioning: Milk tea is not bad, and will satisfy your craving. Service is good, especially the manager at the front. Prices are a bit above average (~$13/meal with drink), but for the quality you get, it is acceptable during these trying times. The washrooms are clean; 3 private stalls with one centralized hand washing station. I really like this design, as you'd only expect to find it in higher end restaurants.

A final word: I live out in Coquitlam, and I frequented this cafe twice in the past month. That said, if gas prices keep rising, and more traffic as restrictions lift, I may need to limit my drives out. However, if you're in the area, and you like HK style foods, I would tell you to give this place a visit.

Their food is great and the portion is good enough. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Staffs are nice, but they don't have enough manpower. Sometimes, you need to wait for a long time to place an order. However, you don't need to wait for long time to have your food.
