TITLE: Why I felt I had to plea for a favor when I requested for services I was entitled to?
Both the Manager and CS supervisor Dhillon, [earlier, Jason] are very nice and friendly. However they are unreasonably inflexible and rigid. A bank draft from Bank of Montreal needed seven days to clear (Jason). The Manager was nice enough to phone me later after I made a fuss and agree to clear it. I told him thanks but no thanks as I did not want any favor for something I was entitled to. A certified bank draft from a local BMO with the clerk's name and phone number on it should suffice. The same happened again a couple of months later. The manager was again, kind enough to clear it for me. Yet, I am still puzzled as to why this should be such a big deal and I felt that he had done me a huge favor and I actually felt guilty for it? All these are within the discretion and authority of the bank and the management should not "throw the book" at their customers each time. I gave them five stars because Manager Yang and Supervisor Dhillon are nice and friendly. Yet, being nice and friendly alone DOES not help me going about my banking.... (I have been with Scotia in Canada for decades)-- I did not check spelling and grammar as when writing this review, I was reliving my unpleasant experience. I WILL STAY WITH THIS BRANCH. Dr. L. Liu.
My experience with soctia bank is wonderful and the employee "Ayeyi" is very helpful and listen carefully. Nice to meet her.
I was first in the branch this morning and was helped by Raj. She was very helpful and thoughtful. She informed me that I was using the completely wrong type of account for my usage. She gentle chastised me about it and remanded the original branch I opened the account at for not educating me correctly. I highly recommend doing your banking with her, she's great. Ask for Raj.
