After years of struggling with the pen tool, I took Sharon's Pen Tool Tutorial. What a blessing! I now have a hope of learning to use it well, after "practice, practice, practice."
Sharon, I Just wanted to thank you for the tutorial on Pen Tool! Ninety minutes of your tutorial and another hour of practice and I feel like a pro with Pen tool. You have very well demystify the complexity and made it easy to use it. Especially they way of modifying the shape in between the points rather than at the end. For anyone doing post processing in Photoshop, Pen tool is absolutely invaluable and you have made it so easy and fun to learn and use.
If you are looking at becoming more proficient with the Pen tool in Photoshop, Sharon’s “Mastering the Pen Tool tutorial” is a great place to start. I have some experience with the pen tool and this tutorial was a great refresher to brush up on my knowledge; I was able to pick up a couple new tricks too. Sharon’s step by step explanation is easy to follow and the in depth exercises make this learning experience time well spent. I’ve watched some other tutorials in the past, but Sharon’s video definitely stands out to me as a valuable resource.
I first became aware of Sharon's courses through her free weekly Talk and Learn sessions. Since then I've taken 3 of her on-line courses and I can't recommend them enough. Sharon's classes are small group, which allows her to take time to answer questions and to spend time with each student. Her instructions are clear and she gives fantastic advice regarding how to improve homework images. In addition, she provides students with recordings of her sessions, notes from her classes, and various other add-ons that make her courses worthwhile. For example, when some of us had spots in our images, she took extra time to show us how clean our camera sensors. It was very much appreciated given the nearest camera centre is a boat ride away from my home. Kudos, Sharon, for your brilliance as a photographer, your clarity of vision, and your excellence as an instructor in helping students begin to realize their own artistic vision.
