I am a professional Artist in Richmond, B.C. Mark Glavina does the packaging of my original oil paintings to be sent to my clients who have purchased my work. They receive their paintings in pristine condition thanks to Mark's careful and attentive work to complete this very important final step in reaching the clients of my Art business. I highly recommend Phoenix Art Workshop for framing, art supplies, art workshops with professional artists, art packaging and the amount of care that goes into all aspects of the business of art! Thank you, Mark and his wonderful, knowledgable and friendly staff. Anne-Marie Mulligan, Artist
Such friendly and helpful staff. Appreciate the staff member today that gave me great ideas for a gift. They have a bit of everything (art related) with all range of price points.
I took multiple art courses throughout high school and have currently been self-teaching for a couple years, aiming to apply for art school. I recently attended some workshops at Phoenix Art Workshop with Mark and it has helped me improve immensely. I've taken the Open Drawing Studio, Drawing the Portrait, Saturday Life Drawing, and Beginner Drawing II workshops.
These courses have helped me strengthen my foundations and learn new methods for drawing accurately. I’ve noticed large improvements in my compositions and shading techniques that help me create pieces that allow me to guide the viewer’s eye to the points I want their attention drawn to, whether it’s a still life or a portrait of someone.
These courses have also helped me build a much stronger portfolio than what I initially had and Mark was so kind for taking time after class to give me some feedback on my portfolio. He is such a nice and patient person who is both an amazing artist and teacher.
When I just started, I was scared to be in a class for the first time since I left university due to anxiety, but Mark and my classmates were so friendly and welcoming that I immediately felt very comfortable in class. I’ve been having a great time learning new skills, meeting other artists, and working on my confidence.
I would highly recommend taking some workshops at Phoenix if you’ve always wanted to learn how to draw or paint or want to improve your current skill level. It’s a great way to meet friendly artists with similar interests and it will help you elevate your work quickly!
Very helpful staff. They offer great classes too. Check out my final project drawing - so much fun!
Very expensive, but otherwise the staff are very nice.
