My kids love this place. The staff are all great and friendly and my kids never want to leave when I come to pick them up.
My daughter has flourished at Kids In Nature - KIN Outdoor Learning Centre. Everything that is best practices about education can be found at KIN.
Kids being outside, kids moving their bodies, kids exploring their creativity, kids following their interests all while engaging higher levels of thinking -- applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating, is found at Kids In Nature.
The Teachers and Staff are AMAZING! They use positive, proactive strategies, and they demonstrate being trustworthy of what is most precious.
All kids deserve an opportunity for an education like this, and I am so thankful that a place like this is available for my family.
My 6 year old daughter has been attending KIN since July, 2020. She started in the Day Camp program and continued into Home Learner's in the fall.
I can't say enough GOOD things about the program, staff and location! This is our second experience with Outdoor Education and KIN has the most AMAZING programming and facilities! The director, Miss Jo, is a superb communicator, accessible and accommodating. The teachers are cheerful, kind, knowledgable, and fun! The kids get an excellent balance of child-led learning and structure, and an AMAZING forest to explore.
There is lots of shelter for stormy days and a fire pit for warming up by. There are animals to engage with, trees to climb, mud kitchens to "cook" in, bikes to ride, soccer games to be played, holes to dig and SO MUCH MORE!
Outdoor education builds character, resilience, and GRIT; not to mention the benefit to a child's immune system with all of the fresh air, sunshine and dirt!
This is an EXCELLENT choice for outdoor education for your child; you won't regret enrolling at KIN!

KIN has a wonderful program and amazing staff. Our son always has great stories to tell about the adventures he’s had at KIN after school. Rain or shine they’re always busy in the forest, making crafts, or making up new games everyone can play. Truly a a special place I wish I could have gone to when I was a kid.
KIN is amazing!! Our two boys have been going there for about 3 years now. They have learned so much there and it has really helped give them some wonderful leadership qualities. The focus is always on nature and healthy play. The teachers are all amazing and very connected to the children. They treat the kids like people and encourage them to work together and to learn valuable life skills.
We get great communication from KIN and always feel included in what is going on with our kids. We had been to another after school care place before this and finding KIN was life changing for our family.
We would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting their kids to get a great and supportive child care program with one of a kind facilities and an emphasis on getting kids away from screens and back outside!
