Al & Jan's Fish & Chips

It’s been a while since I have been back here. Ordered take out on June 2, 2022, 4 pieces of cod, fries and coleslaw. Came out to $30. Fries were hand cut and good. Pieces of fish were decent sized. Service could be better. The two females working that shift seemed completely disinterested in actually working. When my order came out, I asked if there was tartar sauce in the take out bag. The lady said no as I had not ordered any. I’m sorry, but when I order take out fish and chips, there should be tartar sauce. The lady said I had to pay for the tartar sauce. When you dine in the restaurant, you don’t pay for tartar sauce. They provide it for free, so why is it that they charge you when you do take out? Not sure I would go again.

It's been a while since I've been here.
I knew the original owners Jan & Al. They served the very best fish & chips in the area.
After they retired, they sold. The people who took over have not changed the recipe, thank goodness. They have maintained the previous standard. If you want the best fish & chips ever, this is the place to come. Fresh cut french fries, crispy light battered flaky fish... never greasy.
