Hazelmere Acres Preschool & Daycare

Lovely, professional and caring group leading our children! My children have only been going here four-ish months and I have already noticed a change in them wanting to attend daycare! Such calm, kind and caring environment that allows them to be kids!

Our child has attended Hazelmere Acres for nearly two years. We chose Hazelmere because it offers natural learning, and a spacious play area so kids can play outdoors and get plenty of exercise, versus being indoors most of the day. Realizing the various elements the Pacific Northwest offers, there would be many times our child would be outdoors and playing in the rain, however, that has been very positive as well. Our child has been absent once due to illness, otherwise, has been the picture of perfect health. I believe that is the benefit of the outdoor focus of Hazelmere. The love, care and attention that is offered to all children there is exceptional. I cannot say enough about our Director who has personally offered us a lot of attention and support. The whole team of caregivers are exceptional as well. Our experience has been nothing short of outstanding.

My Son went to Hazelmere Acres for nearly 2 years. I moved to Alberta or he would still be there. He loved every day, they played outside in the fresh air and climbed trees just like my childhood and went horse back riding once a month. The teachers were great and showed they clearly loved the children there, and it just wasn't a job to them. I would highly recommend this preschool for any kids that enjoy animals, playing inside and outside. Keep the good work up Hazelmere Acres.

My wife, Shelley and I have had three grandchildren attend Hazelmere Acres Preschool & Daycare. Our two grandsons are now 9 and 7 years old and they still have fond memories of attending the preschool. We recently enrolled our 4 year old granddaughter, Aliyah at the preschool and our grandsons assured her that she was going to have a fantastic time! Aliyah loves attending preschool. And we love the fact that she is well cared for. The staff takes pride in ensuring that all the children are safe and receive the one-on-one attention young children need. We love the fact that the children have outside play every day and we appreciate that the staff always ensures that Aliyah is dressed warmly for the activities. The once a month horseback riding opportunity is extremely well organized and it is obvious that the safety of the children is the staff's upmost concern. I highly recommend Hazelmere and feel fortunate that we have such a fantastic facility in South Surrey.

My Daughter is in her second year at Hazelmere acres preschool and absolutely loves it! My son has also started this year, he is only 2.5yrs old but he couldn’t wait to go with his big sister and he has so much fun, the teachers are amazing and my kids have never had a bad day there. They do outside play everyday, horseback riding once a month, tons of crafts and fun experiments for the kids. On each of my kids 1st days at the preschool they sent me photos of them showing me how they were doing. They have also taken photos of myself with my kids during there little field trip to the pumpkin patch which I so appreciate as I’m usually the one taking the pictures!

They are very understanding about potty training as my youngest is still in diapers and my older daughter would still have accidents here and there during her 1st year and they were always great about helping her never making her feel bad about it.

My kids always come home with muddy/wet boots and outside gear which I think it so great because that means they had a ton of fun outside. They never make the kids stay out longer then they want, if the child is cold or just doesn’t feel like playing outside for whatever reason they are able to go inside. One of the main reasons I chose this preschool was because of the outside play and freedom for the kids to get dirty and play and just be kids! In today’s world where we don’t all have a big backyard for kids to run and play I’m so happy for my kids to have a place to run off some energy.

The Director Mrs. Freedman is amazing and so supportive to not only my kids but to myself. I had my 3rd child during the last month of last school year and she was always helping me getting my daughter ready to go home while I was very pregnant, also letting my son (who wasn’t yet going to the school) play outside while I put my daughter in the car, among other things. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with this preschool.
