Best authentic South Indian food, especially dosas. They have a wide range of options mainly for vegetarian food. It was our first time visit and the restaurant was full, but didn't have much of a wait time. We ordered cheese masala dosa, cheese tomato onion chilli oothappam, poori and potatoes, cheese cone dosa and filter coffee. The restaurant is a simple setting, with maximum occupancy upto 30 people. The service was good and the food was exceptional. Really satisfied! Dining in would be best way to enjoy dosa.
And please, if you are looking for a vibrant and cozy place, this would not be the right place but you will definitely get good food and service.
First time visit. Located opposite the Denny's Restaurant on Scott road and 86 avenue.
Food was decent, freshly made and served hot. Service was good.
Saw a few items on the menu that are not usually found in regular South Indian Eateries.
Chef had come out personally to check on us and ask about the food taste and quality which was a nice gesture.
Highly recommend a visit.
I enjoyed my South Indian dishes at this “little hidden oasis”. The waitress was very helpful in some suggestions for my hubby who didn’t want dosas. Me & my son loved the Rava onion paneer dosa as well as the podi masala dosa. The sambar was heavenly- it had the right taste & the amount of lentils. The Kesari dessert was super delicious- thanks for making our dinner special as they gave us our requested additional items in a timely manner. Once again thank you for your service.😃💕🙏🏽👍🏼🥇
There are at least a half dozen dosa restaurants on Scott Road; this may be the best! The service is friendly and prompt, and although the space is relatively small, it’s well lit and bright. The food itself? They obviously use fresh ingredients; their sambhar and chutneys were amongst the best I’ve ever had. We can also highly recommend any of their dosas, the Methu Vada, as well as the Manchurian Gobi. The mango lassi is hands down, the best I’ve ever had. If you’re craving a delicious, spicy, vegetarian meal, you should definitely give them a try!
We were a group of 6 and had dinner here when returning from Banff National Park. We had ghee podi dosa, rava onion dosa, idly vada combo, rava onion masala dosa, idly podi and filter coffee. We didn’t require reservation and got a table immediately. Food was tasty, ambience is okay and servers were super humble and sweet!
I recommend medu vada, ghee podi dosa, rava chilli dosa and filter coffee. The rava onion masala dosa was cold by the time it was served, we let the servers know and they suggested to make a new one. As we didn’t want to waste food and were low on time, they took it off the bill.
Lot of Jain and vegetarian options! Didn’t get chance to click dosa photos as we it was too yummy and we ate it as soon as it was served. Recommend this place.. #jain #jainfriendly
Note: Idli/Dosa coconut chutney is Jain. For sambar we got one without onions and without garlic, but it had carrots. So make sure before going if this doesn’t work for your dietary preferences. Also, try checking with the restaurant a day in advance if they can make Jain sambar (i.e. with no onions, no garlic and no carrots).
