The building is so well laid out and beautifully decorated. The staff are so warm and helpful. The activities are well chosen for the residents. If you follow a standard American diet, the food is excellent. Many of the residents have led fascinating lives and are fun to talk to.
Amica Arbutus is an excellent facility to recuperate from surgery.
Recently, after having knee replacement surgery, I enjoyed the excellent care of the staff. They were very diligent in bringing ice for my ice machine required after surgery. Meals are very delectable.
Amica Arbutus Manor is a beautiful property full of mature trees, situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The staff are incredibly kind and they are also extremely professional. April, Amy and Selena are not just wonderful people, but they are exceptional at their jobs. As a family member of a new resident, I am so grateful for their skill and expertise.
I recently spent two weeks at Amica Arbutus Manor convalescing after major heart surgery at VGH. This was the best healing experience one could wish for. My vitals were checked regularly, assistance in showering and dressing were available if required.
The staff were outstanding, a family atmosphere in lovely peaceful surroundings, wonderful healthy fresh food which was delivered to my room 3 times daily.
Because of my restricted activity I did not partake of any of the many activities and entertainment provided but was able to walk daily and enjoy the outdoor spaces, the Courtyard patio especially an oasis of trees shrubs, water pond and two resident ducks, with comfortable outdoor furniture.
A very soothing and caring facility for recovery, I thank all at Amica for the care they provided.
I have had the pleasure of providing Physiotherapy treatment to the residents at Amica Arbutus Manor and have nothing but great things to say. What makes this community stand apart is the service, level of care and professionalism the place has to offer. The staff are fantastic and they go above and beyond to make sure each resident feels right at home. I would highly recommend as Amica Arbutus Manor has really figured out how to provide a very modern form of living for their residents because of the many options they have to provide.
