My daughter took Saleema's class for Go Girl at the YWCA downtown about 24 years ago , she's 32 years young now, Seleema has great understanding of youth and excels in her profession at that time. My daughter has grown up with confidence and great profession and a well rounded person, i attribute this some of the values and teachings with the root foundation she had with Saleema . thank you Saleema for having timeless impact and skills on young people. You were beautiful and young then and still are, you don't age.
I attended two of the parent information evenings. As a parent to two young boys I find the evening so informative and empowering. The facilitator was both warm, approachable and made the subject digestible so that I walked away with important tools and methods in which to approach these subjects with my own kids.
This information is so important and vital for parents to hear and to help create open dialogue with their kids. I’m so grateful I got to hear this information first hand in such a wonderful format.
I was raised in a generation that didn’t talk
About body a science and it was very uncomfortable for me to ask questions, it is such a Relief to have Saleema as my daughters body science teacher and someone who encourages girls to be true to themselves and love who they are. I feel very fortunate to have someone like Saleema teach our children. She truly cares about the woke she does
I'm a Big Sister. Saleema and her team have been an incredible resource and support for me and my Little! I can't thank them enough for how much their clear, concise and honest information has helped so many young girls (and boys!). Education builds confidence!
I attended a parent night, as well as a body science and personal safety presentation with my then 6 year old put on by this organization.
The information provided at the parent session was incredibly insightful; I left feeling empowered and prepared to talk with my child about a topic I had been dreading since his birth. The tools parents were given for broaching the subject and handling some of the less comfortable topics were extremely helpful.
The content at the presentation for kids was nothing but informative, age appropriate and well thought out. There was absolutely nothing traumatizing about the information that was shared with them. My son enjoyed the presentation, and we're now able to have an open dialog about his body, boundaries, consent and safety, which is so important.
This is a fantastic resource for all parents.
