Have you ever phoned a repair person in a panic? I did yesterday morning.
Tyler at Peter Burns Windows answered the phoned, he listened and said that he would come by my place after I got home from work. He and Peter Burns came and they inspected the new windows I have had recently installed by Renewal by Andersen. These windows let more cold air in than my aluminum windows with single panes ever did. Tyler and Peter don't represent a brand, they came to help me with this massive problem. Tyler and Peter gave me a course of action to rectify my situation. They showed me that Renewal by Andersen (RbyA) did NOT install new windows, RbyA just removed the the glass from the old windows and then installed new windows within the old frames. It is called "Piggy Backing". This method would never pass city code or an engineer's approval. And as sure a freezing cold winter night they are not "ENERGY STAR". Peter and Tyler also pointed out a very serious safety concern that RbyA has left me with.
Tyler and Peter weren't trashing, they were using their honest professionalism to explain to me the situation I have. They spoke highly of the some local manufactures but they stressed I should do a thorough visit to the display rooms myself. They told me to pick out the windows myself too. To know exactly what they should look like in the window opening after installation. They explained to me why I should avoid some style of windows. The windows I have had installed by Renewal by Andersen cost more than a boat with a motor and trailer. But boats are not suppose to leak and neither are windows. I have less glass and a hell of a lot of vinyl and caulking. I feel robbed. Renewal by Andersen lied to my face in my own home more than once. Later, Tyler went beyond the call and phoned me to help lay out a plan of action to rid me of these impostor windows and the get the energy efficient and safe windows I wanted. I highly recommend Tyler and Peter.

We renovated our home from top to bottom and were looking to enlarge our walk-in shower. The project was somewhat more complicated than the window installations I'd had done in the past. We were performing our due diligence, visiting boutique vendors as well as the big box suppliers. But a chance encounter with Tyler Topa at a builder’s trade show ended up netting us a consummate professional.

A finishing carpenter by training, Tyler agreed to fit us into his already-busy schedule. Impressively, he corrected the numerous errors and oversights produced by three previous contractors! His work was nuanced and thorough, as he pointed out details that even I missed(!)
