Angry Otter Liquor @ Kitsilano

I have wandered into this neighbourhood shop to peruse and purchase in the past, but today I was just so impressed with how caring and awesome the folks in there were... I'll definitely keep going back!! (Oh yes, and great selection too :)

A very good variety of alcohol products from around the globe. Awesome customer service. Love it!

I’m giving a five-star rating as I was SO impressed with the five rows of Canadian wines to choose from! I have been away from B.C. for some time and even visiting no less than 10 different B.C. liquor stores as well as a few independents, Kits Wine Cellar is like an overdue homecoming. Note that aside from the immense B.C. wine selection, their “rest of the world” wines were equally well-curated. Kits Wine Cellar also has a massive “chilled wine” section if you need your wine pre-chilled.

The staff we friendly and helpful, and provided some good recommendations for my specific wants both old world wines and new.

The only disappointment is the website for Kits Wine Cellar. It’s almost as if they don’t want to spread the word about their wine club or events or any of the wines they do sell to better educate the public. But I suspect this is down to the monopoly which owns this location who can’t be bothered to make the online experience a friendly one. A real shame, but hope you go visit in person.

Great selection of natural wines. Nice touch to offer a discount for 6+ bottles.

I believe this is one of the a few places in Vancouver where you can find a wide variety of wines and champagnes. Highly recommended!
