Brownude

I took a class in Vancouver last year and it was such an amazing experience. Thuy (BrowNude) and Hoi were fantastic instructors and created such a warm environment for learning. Easy to follow instructions, well planned out .. what more is there to say? I also met beautiful, beautiful peers and we have build such a great little group, I wouldn't trade my experience for any other brow class!! 5 Stars!!

I attended HOI x Brownude III fundamentals course in Vancouver and it was by far the greatest educational experience of my life!! If you are thinking about beginning a career in cosmetic tattooing, and want to slay brows for a living.. this is the course for you! Thuy and her team at Brownude are so funny, outgoing and lovely to be around. They were so engaging, always offering amazing advice and guiding you every step of the way! I loved that I was also able to continue my education with them as a graduate of this course! Endless opportunities! I loved this group, and loved my amazing mentors!!

I originally came across the Hoi x Brownude course because a friend of mine would fly all the way from Victoria to Edmonton to have her brows done at the Brownude studio. It had never occurred to me that permanent makeup was a fit for me although I come from a makeup background and always loved to help clients + friends with their brows. I thought to myself that if my friend went out of her way to fly to another province for this experience, it must be worth it. I decided that I wanted to start this journey myself but that I wanted to make sure I worked with the right people. I’m so glad that everything worked out the way that it did because the Hoi x Brownude experience was everything I hoped it would be and more. I’ve had people mention to me that they’re shocked it’s only a three day course. It’s so much more than that! Prior to your actual course, there is so much pre-work that is provided to you. Informational YouTube trainings, pages and pages of worksheets to help you get used to some of the techniques before the course, and an online portion to teach you the basics of the business side of things. Although the first day in class is still intimidating, it is much less so because you aren’t starting from scratch. Once we were in class, Hoi and Thuy were so incredibly hands on with us. The class sizes are small enough that you get as much one on one help as you need. The progress from the beginning of day one to the end of day three is unbelievable. Like, I literally couldn’t believe how much more comfortable I was with the machine. My model day ended up being about two months after the original course due to COVID. This was perfect because it gave us extra time to practice prior to working on a real client. In the midst of the pandemic, they made us all feel very safe! All protocols were taken and everyone was careful. In that time between the course and the model day, Hoi and Thuy were always available to answer any questions and give feedback on our work. They had us take many videos during the course so that we could look back on the little teaching moments if we were struggling at all. Although working on your first client will ALWAYS be a nerve wracking experience, Hoi and Thuy were so patient and helpful when we needed them during our model day (and always!) They truly want all of their people to succeed. Now that I’m starting out on my own, I’m able to reach out to Hoi to ask her if my colour match looks good or to Thuy to see if she would change anything about the shape I’ve created on a client, etc. They are always on call and have created a group chat for everyone in our course so that we can all help each other if anyone needs it. If you’re thinking about starting a career in permanent makeup or even if you’ve never considered it before but this is sparking your interest, I highly recommend that you choose Hoi x Brownude as your starting point. I say starting point because there is so much continued education with Hoi and Thuy. They continue to include us in their trainings and monitor our road to success to help us be our best!

Bit the bullet and took a risk to join the HOIxBROWNUDE nano + ombre basics class in Vancouver. One of the best decisions of my life. The duality of these girls is what the industry needs. Thuy and Hoi managed to fit the fundamentals of both art skills while making the classes VERY fun, educational, and all around great vibes. Both styles are beautifully taught, with patience and care. They both really take their time to make sure you are educated and ready to step into the field. They support you even outside the classes whenever needed. I could write forever, but the point is, join their classes. You won't regret it. And if you want your brows done, get them done @ either by Hoi or Brownude ! just amazing personalities, artistic skill and work ethic.

I took a machine nano technique semi-permanent brow tattooing course in Vancouver with Hoi X Brownude team. They are absolutely amazing, passionate, and knowledgable in what they do and always willing to help during and even after the course was completed. Thuy and Hoi are very hands on and keep the class size small so you get plenty of individual coaching time. I would 100% recommend taking the course through them. THANK YOU HOI X BROWNUDE TEAM!
