Anyone considering ABA therapy or any other method of early intervention, MUST look at R&R intervention before deciding. R&R transformed my daughter and completely changed my understanding of ASD and communication. Anyone who thinks that the primary emphasis of early intervention should involve flash cards or hours spent training with tablets, needs to meet children who have had R&R intervention. At 3 yrs old, my daughter was nonverbal (had not even said "Mama") and would not make eye contact with anyone. She is now in school and is so social and articulate that people are shocked when they learn that she is on the autism spectrum. There is no "cure" for autism but there are ways to ensure that children living with the challenges of a neurodevelopmental variation like ASD, can have a happy and meaningful life with real friendships and the ability to live life to their full potential. For my child, that started with David Loyst and R&R.
